Pumpkins

We started off our Halloween festivities by going to a pumpkin festival in our town.  They had a lot of fun activities and games for the kids.  Their favorite was the animal train.  I was even able to convince TJ to ride it with Kiara.

A few days later we went to a nearby farm to pick out our pumpkins.  The farm was really fun, they had a small corn maze, a haystack to climb on and a small petting zoo.  It was a little cold and really windy when we went but it was still a lot of fun and we found some great pumpkins!
TJ loved picking out a pumpkin just his size!

TJ enjoyed petting the goat.

until the goat stuck his head out and made a really loud BLEEET sound, TJ screamed and ran out of the petting zoo crying.  Poor guy!

Of course Brennen loved climbing the haystack and jumping off.

Delma mostly just tried to stay out of the wind.
The weekend before Halloween we carved our pumpkins.  I really don't like it, but I smile and do it anyway!  The pumpkin guts make my arms itchy!
Good thing the kids like to scrape out the guts themselves.

We let TJ paint his pumpkin until Brennen was done with his since he wanted to help carve TJ's.

Being silly!

I didn't get a good picture of them in the dark but here they are. Jason carved a few that looked like angry birds. Mine is the one that looks like a goose that needs no carving!
