Broken Thumb

Jason broke his thumb a few weeks ago playing church basketball.  He hyper-extended his thumb backward and the ligament pulled off a piece of the bone.  He knew it was hurt but didn't think it was broken.  He waited 3 weeks to go to the Dr.  during that time he was playing the piano 3-4 hrs a day!  His thumb was really sore and not getting better so he went to the Dr. and found out it was broken.  We thought he was going to have to have surgery but thank goodness the piece of bone that broke off is in the right place so he doesn't need surgery.  Just time.  He has to wear a cast for 6 weeks.  He has only been wearing it for 2 and is already really tired of it.  Poor Jason!  But, he needs to get it healed correctly so he can get back to playing the piano.  NO MORE MONKEY BALL!
