Mustard and three letter words!

We had a really great Christmas! The kids got way too many presents. Brennen's favorite is the remote control helicopter. It is pretty cool, it is small and can fly in the house. He also got some fun books. One about paper airplanes that has 50 or more papers that he can fold and make into pretty neat planes. He also got a book that has about 100 different science experiments that you can do with stuff around your house.
Kiara's favorite toy is her new fur-real kitty that meows and purrs. She named it Carmel and carries it everywhere. She also really likes the lip smacker chapstick. She also really likes the pink snake that Brennen got her.Delma had a really good time opening presents and trying to eat the wrapping paper. She was pretty exhausted with all the excitement and people but she handled it pretty well. She really likes her bouncing tigger and her stacking cups.Mustard
Brennen and Kiara both hate mustard so they were pretty surprised to find small packets of it in their stocking among their candy. All year at almost every meal they tease each other about mustard. Saying to each other "Don't you want mustard with that"? Sometimes even sneaking mustard in each others food. We kept telling them that if they kept talking about mustard Santa might get confused and think they like it.

Three Letter Words
Kiara got a leapfrog word whammer to go with her magnet letters. Now that she knows all her letters and sounds she is learning to read. The word whammer helps you make three letter words and will spell them and read them back to you. I started showing her how to spell words like MOM. Then Brennen decided he was going to teach her too. He taught her to spell B U T and B U M. So now she puts that into the word whammer and it spells it to her then reads the word to her and they laugh hysterically. You would think it would get old after the first 50 times but it still makes them laugh. I guess that is part of the fun of being a big brother!
