An Update on Brennen

I know it is a little early to post an update but any progress is slathered in praise for the B man. After my excursion to second grade we talked to Brennen's teacher and we all agreed that he could take some extra things to school to keep himself occupied while waiting for the rest of the class. The teacher said that he had not consistently finished his work. Because of this she had never offered anything extra for him to do. However, that's not how his mind works. In fact, that's not how most of our minds work. We don't achieve unless a better, higher goal is put in front of us.

Anyway, we sent him to school with a note pad and a chapter book. So far his contracts have been darn near perfect and he has been writing 2-4 pages in his notebook AND reading around 10 short chapters a day in his book - in addition to the regular curriculum! That boy really was bored! GO BRENNEN!
