It was really hot, but luckily we got a spot right next to our favorite swimming hole. We love this swimming hole because there is plenty of very shallow water for the little kids but also in one corner it is quite deep for the bigger kids. We stuck our canopy and camp chairs right in the river so we could play with the kids and keep cool. We also blew up some inner-tubes and put an adult a little ways down the river and let the kids float down. They had so much fun. We thought it would be crowded since it was the weekend before a holiday but we ended up with the entire corner of the loop all to ourselves and both days when we went swimming we had the place to ourselves as well. It was really nice that it wasn't crowded and we had a really nice spot with tons of room for the kids to play.
Addie really wanted to sit at the table with the big kids but she kept falling off. Delma came to the rescue and put her chair behind Addie and ate on her lap instead of the table. She is such a thoughtful girl!
We woke up the first morning to cows in our campground. The fence that is supposed to keep them out was broken in a couple spots. TJ was very excited and wanted to pet them. I had a hard time keeping him from running after them. He calls them "camping cows".
I caught Spider giving Delma a big hug. I think he wanted a little extra love since Maggie didn't like him very much.
TJ is always so proud of the fish that daddy catches for us for dinner.
We went to a little place nearby called Rock Cliffs. It's like a mini Moab. It's very sandy and has some rocks for the kids to climb on. We spent a couple of hours playing there. Jason hiked up the rocks quite a ways with the bigger kids. He's such a good dad/uncle.

After that little hike it started getting hot so we played in the water some more.
The little dogs got cold and didn't want to stand in the water but wanted to stay in the shade. The two on the end didn't get along so well so Luna in the middle was keeping the peace.
I finally got TJ to go out in the water with me and once he did he had a blast. He kept yelling "ready, set go" then I would sink down into the water with him just keeping our heads out of it. This wore him out and he fell asleep in the chair then in my lap. I ended up sitting in the chair with him asleep for close to two hours. The most relaxing part of the trip for me!
We cooked hotdogs and smores one night and tinfoil dinners and smores the second night. TJ really enjoyed his snacks. It makes me happy to see my kids happy!
Jason was able to help Ryan catch his first fish, and it was on a fly pole!
We had such a good time, we always have a lot of fun hanging out with family while we are camping. The next time can't come soon enough!
