Delma's toe

Delma was opening the back door a few days ago and got her foot caught in it. It ripped off her toenail. You can see it ripped down one side and across. Now we just have to wait for it to fall off and hope she doesn't get it snagged on something. Poor girl! She bumps it once in a while or gets it caught on something and cries so hard. It's going to be so hard once it falls off because it will take a long time for it to grow back. :-(

Here is a picture of the Maggie's sleeping in her favorite place. (it's only her favorite place when nobody is sitting on the couch for her to curl up with)

When I ripped my toenail off, it was pretty similar to Delma's. Only hanging on by a thread. I eventually just soaked it until the nail was loose again (it was only being held on by a scab between the nail and toe) and pulled the nail off. It felt much better once I pulled the nail off. The dead nail just made it more sensitive. Good luck Delma!
