Jason and I have always wanted to put a tile backsplash in our kitchen. We picked out a backsplash shortly after we moved in almost a year ago. But first we had to paint the kitchen and then we had to install some cabinets over the bar and above the fridge, so finally we were able to get that done so we could do the backsplash. We worked on this Friday and Saturday conference weekend. We got it all installed on Friday and then while listening to Conference on Saturday we did the grout and finish work. It turned out really great, Jason did a great job!
Since the kitchen was all torn apart the kids were thrilled to eat their lunch picnic style in the family room.
I wish I had a before picture of our kitchen when we first moved in. We have done a lot of improvements. The wall was was puke green, there was no hardware on the cabinets, no cabinets above the bar or the fridge, the appliances were old and white and of course no backsplash. We are really pleased how it all turned out. Our next project will be to put new tile on the floor but that might be a while before that happens.
