Daisy

A few weeks ago we had to find a new home for our dog Sassy. She kept sneaking out of the house and she has this thing against anything on wheels. She would chase any neighbor kids that happen to be riding by our house on bikes, scooters or skateboards and nip at their heels. She never hurt anyone really bad but we didn't want to wait for that to happen. We were lucky enough to find her a really great home in Blanding with a family that has a ton of land for her to run and play on and a pond! Sassy loves water so we are confident she will be happy there. We will really miss her, especially when we are camping she was a really run camping dog. Her new owners said they would email us pictures once in a while too.

We were planning to wait a while longer before getting another dog but our family just LOVES dogs and Jason found a little puppy that he fell in love with. So we brought her home last weekend. We ended up naming her Daisy. She is a mini long-hair Dachshund. She is only about 6.5 lbs and is about 6 months old. She is just the sweetest little dog and has fit right in with our family. She LOVES the car. She jumps in the car even when we are just taking Brennen to school. She is really good with the kids and is very mellow. She learned right away how to use the dog door.

Delma is so happy when the dog sits by her or plays with her. Whenever Daisy does this Delma says "likes me"!

Here is Daisy playing wii with B and K. It just so happens we named her after Baby Daisy on Mario Kart. By the way it is crazy that Kiara at 5 yrs old can kick my butt at Mario Kart!

Daisy likes to be involved in everything we are doing. Jason needed to fix the pedals on our piano and of course Delma wanted to help and the dog couldn't be left out of all that fun!Daisy has decided her favorite place to sleep at night is with Kiara. Kiara is thrilled with this idea (and so are Jason and I since we didn't' want her sleeping on our bed) Daisy hangs out on Kiara's bed every night when we read stories to her then curls up and goes to sleep with her when we are done.

Brennen has baseball practice three nights a weeks, so the girls (including the puppy) and I play at the playground by the ball field during practice. Here is a cute little video of Kiara and Daisy digging in the sand. They were burying Kiara's stuffed kitty. This went on for quite a while before I realized I should get a video.
