We tried out a new camping spot past Diamond Fork campground not in a campground. It was fun because we had a huge area all to ourselves. It was not as great as the campground because we only had a small stream to play in, which was mostly mud. But the kids loved it! We got rained on a bit which made things even muddier. It was also difficult because there were a lot of cows around so there were messes from the cows. At one point a bull came right through our campground. That was a little scary. It came back later that day and was injured and only walking on 3 legs so that was a little sad.
Jason's parents and his sister Laura and her family came up to join us for a couple of the days. TJ is best buds with his cousin so they had a blast playing together.
We did a lot of fun activities, including hiking to the nearby hot springs. It ended up being about a 5 1/2 mile hike. I was so proud of TJ he walked the whole way and didn't complain at all. It rained on us a bit on the way back. Luckily it wasn't too cold. The hot springs were very warm and was so fun to play in. On the hike back I found a monarch caterpillar that I gave to Kiara.
The kids had so much fun playing with remote control cars, catching bugs, playing in the water/mud, exploring and fishing.
