Family Reunion in Midway (Cow Camping)

This year we had our first every Workman family reunion camping trip.  We went to a dairy farm in Midway.  We had about 60 people with all my dad's siblings and their kids and kids.  We also celebrated my grandpa's 80th birthday while we were there.  It was a ton of fun.  The kids only see their second cousins once or twice a year so it was fun for them to get to hang out and play with them the whole weekend.

We watched them heard the cows around where were camping back and forth for milking and we got to watch them do the milking.

We took the kids to the nearby pond to go fishing and all the kids caught a fish.  Jason and Brennen went out a bit to fly fish on the Provo river.  We had tons of good food, my grandma is awesome!

There were a few swings hanging from the trees, a zip line and an old carnival ride that was a ton of fun for the kids.  My cousins got a game of baseball going a couple of times for the adults and kids.

It rained a bit but there was a huge indoor pavilion with a small kitchen that we were able to hang out in during the rain.  There were also flush toilets and showers.  woot!

We also went over to the dairy store next to the farm for some ice-cream.  For some silly reason TJ was not in the mood for ice-cream and opted for root-beer and chips.  Silly guy!

My kids call this camping trip "cow camping"  besides the smell it was a great time!  The cows liked to hang out by our trailer (on the other side of the fence) for shade.
