Delma's 3rd Birthday!!

 My baby turned 3 years old this past week.  Where has the time gone?  I was a little anxious about having the baby before we were able to properly celebrate her birthday.  I was already worried about her having some jealousy issues or a hard time with a new baby since she is the youngest and didn't want her birthday to end up getting missed in any way.  Luckily we were able to celebrate her birthday before her baby brother was born...only 3 days to spare!

Delma has been talking about Cookie Monster a lot lately.  It started when she was scared about monsters coming out of the wall.  We were making cookies one day and she was talking about the scary monsters in the wall (one time she actually went around the house with crayons and tried to draw on every wall saying that if she did then the monsters couldn't come out) I told her maybe it was cookie monster in the wall and he just wanted to eat cookies with us, I told her how nice nice and silly he is.  Ever since then she has loved cookie monster and the monster in the wall was no longer scary.

She got a Cookie Monster doll and a video of all her favorite Cookie Monster songs for her birthday.  She loved it!

We had a party Saturday night for her birthday.  She had a wonderful time opening presents and playing with her cousins.  Thanks everyone!

Of course I had to make her a cookie monster cake!

   

I think this little car was her favorite present.  Luckily it's not too big to play with in the house since it's too cold to play outside.  She rides it everywhere, even to get from one room to the other.

 

Grandma Rhonda made Delma a beautiful pink dress with strawberries.  I could only convince her to let me take a picture of her wearing the dress if she was in her car.      

Delma is such a sweet girl, we love her so much.  She brings so much joy to our family.  She is extremely sensitive and gets very upset if she thinks she has done something wrong or made somebody mad.  We have to be really careful how we correct her on anything because she is so sensitive.  But along with that she will do anything for anyone if you ask her nicely, even give up whatever she is playing with.  She is very nurturing and aware of other people's feelings.  She is always wanting to help and has a hug ready for anyone that needs one.
